PROFESSIONAL CONSULTATION

Consultation offered:

If you are a fully licensed professional, you may not be engaged in ongoing supervision—but you may still encounter complex cases that feel unclear, layered, or difficult to untangle. Consultation offers a focused space to slow down, think collaboratively, and gain clarity when a client’s presentation doesn’t fit neatly into expected patterns.

My areas of consultation are designed for targeted, case-specific support and strategic thinking, helping you move forward with greater confidence and clinical clarity in situations that feel stalled or uncertain.

“I had to figure out so much on my own when I was starting my own practice.”

Your Path to Private Practice Success: Personalized Consultation

Most therapists were never taught how to start a business or run a private practice. With the help of colleagues, trainings, and tons of research, I taught myself how to start and manage my own successful and thriving private practice. Let me use the benefit of my experience (including my mistakes!) to help you start your own.

I offer informal business consultations help you start your own individual private practice, navigate insurance billing, and learn how to use Simple Practice (practice management software). I can also input your paperwork and forms into your Simple Practice account (or possibly another EHR). See pricing information below.

I can help you with:

  • Getting your private practice off the ground

  • Navigating insurance, including verifying benefits and billing

  • Steps to credentialing with insurance companies

  • Marketing strategies

  • Sample paperwork and forms (why start from scratch?)

  • Simple Practice - Understanding how to use Simple Practice as your EHR to simplify and streamline your private practice

  • Inputting your paperwork and forms into your EHR (I can even do this for you if you prefer)

  • Providing feedback on your website and directory profiles

Contact us today to get scheduled. We are very passionate about helping therapists find their versions of success in private practice. While we are not accepting new therapy clients, which might be seen on the contact page, I am accepting new consultation clients.

Diagnostic Consultation Services

Kaleidoscope Counseling Group offers professional consultation services for mental health providers seeking additional perspective, education, and collaborative thinking around diagnostic complexity and case conceptualization—particularly when ADHD, autism (including high-masking and late-identified presentations), trauma, burnout, and identity factors intersect.

Many clinicians encounter clients whose experiences do not fit neatly into diagnostic categories. Consultation provides space to slow down, reflect, and explore differential diagnosis, neurodiversity-affirming frameworks, and clinical reasoning in a supportive, non-evaluative setting.

Consultation is collaborative and reflective, designed to support your thinking and confidence—not to supervise, direct, or assess your clinical performance.

Consultation topics may include:

  • Support in thoughtfully examining overlapping symptom presentations, clarifying diagnostic possibilities, and strengthening case conceptualization. Consultation focuses on clinical reasoning, differential considerations, and how multiple factors (neurodevelopmental, trauma-related, environmental, and relational) may interact.

  • Consultation related to ADHD in children, adolescents, and adults, including executive functioning challenges, emotional regulation, burnout, masking, and late identification. Emphasis is placed on understanding ADHD beyond stereotypes and exploring how symptoms present differently across developmental stages and life contexts.

  • Consultative support for understanding autism spectrum profiles, particularly high-masking, subtle, or late-identified presentations. This includes exploring social cognition, sensory processing, communication patterns, identity development, and differential diagnosis when autism overlaps with trauma, anxiety, or ADHD.

  • Exploration of diagnostic and treatment frameworks that respect neurodivergent identities and reduce pathologizing language. Consultation supports clinicians in aligning diagnostic clarity with affirming, strengths-based, and ethically grounded care approaches.

  • Support in understanding how psychological testing data can be interpreted alongside clinical observations and history. Consultation emphasizes synthesizing data meaningfully rather than relying on scores alone, helping clinicians build cohesive and clinically useful interpretations.

  • Consultative space to think through client experiences related to identity development, chronic stress, burnout, and fatigue from navigating complex systems (healthcare, education, work, family). Emphasis is placed on contextual understanding and reducing self-blame in clients.

Pricing & Signing Up

My consultation fee is $75 an hour for one-on-one appointments via video. Most of my consultations are scheduled Fridays through Sundays though I try to accommodate other times when needed.

  • This is also my fee for completing tasks for you outside of appointments, such as designing and inputting forms into your EHR

My goal is to keep my fees accessible for two reasons: because I know many therapists have budget constraints, and because my passion for supporting the therapist community drives me to offer affordable services.

Due to my commitment to keeping fees affordable, I am only available for questions and support during scheduled consultation appointments.

Once you have scheduled an appointment, I will set you up as a client in my EHR, and you will receive an email invitation to my Client Portal to provide payment information and e-sign a consultation agreement.
